HUNGARY, WHERE THE CHF / EURO IS STILL WORTH WHAT

Data from the European statistics agency Eurostat showed that price levels for consumer goods and services in the EU differ almost threefold between the cheapest and the most expensive member states. However, consumers in European countries that are not members of the EU have to dig even deeper into their pockets than in the most expensive EU country, Denmark. The banking association recently clearly calculated what that means: For holidaymakers from Germany, one euro in Switzerland is worth around 0.71 cents. Things remain very cheap within the EU in Hungary: consumers there have to pay around a third less for goods and services, including rent and restaurant visits, than the EU average. Hungary's property price growth amounts to 9.7% in 2023 Q3. This represents a decrease compared to the previous figures of 17.5% for 2022. Hungary's property price growth is updated quarterly, with an average of 8.3% from 2008 to 2023. The data reached an all-time high of 24.9% in 2022 and a Record low of -7.8% in 2009.
